Cinefilia
É deprimente ouvir alguém que «gosta imenso de cinema» e que só conhece filmes de anteontem, como se o cinema não tivesse cem anos. Gosto por isso dos exercícios de memória, não apenas os que aconselham os clássicos indispensáveis, mas sobretudo os que propõem reavaliações ou descobertas.
O Observer de ontem publicou uma lista com «50 clássicos esquecidos», muitos deles indisponíveis em DVD. A escolha colectiva foi capitaneada pelo veterano (e algo entediante) Philip French. O conceito de «clássico» é tão discutível como, nalguns casos, o conceito de «esquecido», mas a lista tem várias exumações curiosas (incluindo quase vinte filmes francamente obscuros) e algumas ressurreições inesperadas. Eis os cinquenta, por ordem cronológica:

Mas, pelas sinopses e comentários, fiquei interessadíssimo em ver pelo menos uns 30 desta lista.
É nestes momentos que me envergonho de passar fraudulentamente por «cinéfilo». Mas talvez ter muita vontade de ver estes filmes já seja um sinal de «cinefilia».
