As mulheres tatuadas do Daguestão

Leio no Guardian que já foi entregue o prémio Diagram para o Título Mais Estranho (Oddest Title) respeitante ao último ano. Este concurso, agora na sua terceira década, distingue apenas um título de livro estapafúrdio, independentemente do conteúdo. O vencedor deste ano foi The Stray Shopping Carts of Eastern North America: A Guide to Field Identification, de um tal Julian Montague, que venceu outros achados como How Green Were the Nazis?, Better Never To Have Been: The Harm of Coming Into Existence, as actas Proceedings of the Eighteenth International Seaweed Symposium e o meu favorito Tattooed Mountain Women and Spoon Boxes of Daghestan. O jornal refere também alguns vencedores passados, entre os quais estão Proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Nude Mice (1978), How to Shit in the Woods, an Environmentally Sound Approach to a Lost Art (1989) e Greek Rural Postmen and Their Cancellation Numbers (1996).
